Forza Ferrari!!!!.....finally the first win of the season for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro in the F1 World Championship 2009 at the Belgium GP at Spa-Francorchamps circuit...it's a legendary track with tight turns and long straight high speed and of course the famous "Bus Stop" final turn...Kimi Raikkonen drove an almost perfect race to register the victory for this season in which Scuderia Ferrari have not been able to challenge for pace set by Brawn GP and Red Bull Team...
The KERS system played a crucial role in the opening stages. After a safety car intervention, Raikkonen, who had sped up to second behind Fisichella on the opening lap, lost no time using his KERS to slingshot by the Italian on the run up Raidillon to Les Combes on the fifth lap and for the rest of the race it was just a race to the finish line from both drivers...
the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F60 car for this season may not be able to challenge strongly for the championship but it was a prove that it is not a bad car compare to the F2005 were they only won the six car race in the United States GP...this time they won with all the teams racing on the track...now hopefully the team will be starting to focus on development of 2010 championship car to mount a serious challenge for the championship again...
the victory was also a perfect birthday gift for Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo who celebrated his birthday after the race...
once again Forza Ferrari....the Prancing Horse
